10 people died instantly and 2 others on their way to hospital after a car crash in the Eastern Romanian county of Vaslui on Thursday. The accident occurred aftar a Ford van driven by a 25-year old man failed to allow priority and crashed into a bus at the conjunction of two roads on the outskirts of the city of Barlad.

Five other people were carried to a hospital in Barlad for emergency surgical interventions. One sufferred an amputation, while the other four were safe. All 17 people wounded and killed were in the van.

The bus was registered in the Moldovan Republic and was carrying workers to Italy. No injuries were reported among the 29 people on board.
