The SAPARD funds aimed at financing the rural development projects will be ceased as the application forms request more money than the Fund can provide. The requested sum amounts to 1.63 billion Euros while the Fund has 1.5 billion Euros left. The last day for projects’ submission is July 31, 2006.

5118 application forms have been submitted so far, valued at 1.63 billion Euros. 3883 projects were declared eligible and received a total amount of 1.18 billion Euros. 1.235 application forms are now under the scrutiny of the Fund’s officers.

The projects submitted before the deadline that are declared as “eligible” but there are no available funds, will be put on hold and financed if other projects receive sanctions.
