In the first month of the year, the Authority for State Assets Recovery has concluded the post privatization monitoring for 820 contracts, up 344% compared to the same period in the previous year. The AVAS target for 2006 is to bring to close 1000 contracts.

The first semester results represent over half the total number of contracts in the four-year archive of the Authority, which stand for a sum of 592,000 Euros as the value of the investments.

The post privatization monitoring aims at verifying the fulfillment of the clauses assumed by the buyer and at sanctioning the breakage of the contracts’ provisions, in particular in the technological sector, investment in environment protection, the sale of assets and land of companies, etc.
