The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled three verdicts against Romania, on Thursday, June 29, according to information released by the Foreign Affairs Ministry. All rulings involved claims of residences abusively taken by the communist regime.

ECHR justified the decisions on grounds of breaking the first article of the European Convention of Human Rights which guarantees the respect for property. The ECHR ruled that the Romanian state should pay 5000 Euros moral damages and 1000 Euros for trial expenses.
