Abundant rains, winds and hail are announced for the coming three days, following the killing heat wave that hit Romania during the last week. The Emergency Situation Center warns that the water quantities might reach 80 l/sqm in 36 counties until July 2.
The areas at risk of heavy rains are the northern part of Maramures, and Crisana, the western Banat, the central Transilvania, the Southern Oltenia, Muntenia, and the mountainous regions of Eastern Carpathians. In some areas, the rain water quantity might reach 100 l/sqm within 12 hours.
