The Western Romanian city of Zalau will host a unique event on June 30-July 2 - The Roman Days Festival, depicting the life and culture of ancient Romans.

The three-day event in Zalau and the ancient Roman settlement of Porolissum-Moigrad will includes demonstrations of fights with specific Roman weapons, gladiator confrontations, theatre plays, ancient music and dance shows.

The program of the event - now at its second edition - will help locals and guests have a feeling of the Roman political and social life, military organization, manufacturing techniques and epic battles. The event is aimed at placing the city of Zalau on the tourism map of Romania.

Several festivals have been taking place in cities in Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary and Croatia.
