A heat wave that has been affecting Romania for days continues on Wednesday as most of the country territory boils in shadow temperatures of 35-36 degrees Celsius. According to weather reports, the most affected regions are Dobrogea, Muntenia and Oltenia in the south of the country and Moldova in the east.

Temperatures will stay high for the coming 24 hours, according to weather reports, which point to 20 degrees Celsius and more in the coming night.

Thousands of people sieged ambulance phone lines in Bucharest and other cities over the past 48 hours and hundreds were reported to have fainted while outside.
