The National Institute for Hydrology and Water Management in Bucharest sent high flood risk warnings to 27 counties across the county on Wednesday after several days of trouble sparked by floods in much of Northern Romania.

The warnings say rain forecast for the next 24 hours poses an increased risk for landslides and torrents which may lead to floods and high river flows. The warnings cover the period of Wednesday afternoon-Thursday morning.

The high risk counties are Timis, Caras Severin, Mehedinti, Dolj, Gorj, Hunedoara, Valcea, Olt, Arges, Teleorman, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Prahova, Calarasi, Ialomita, Buzau, Suceava, Neamt, Bacau, Vrancea, Botosani, Iasi, Vaslui, Galati, Tulcea and Constanta.
