A Romanian soldier (38) died and other four were injured close to Romania’s military base in Kandahar, during an incident on Monday night. The military convoy returned from a patrolling mission when a conveyor hit a mine.
Following the blast, one soldier was killed and other our injured. The injured were taken to the emergency room, according to a press release of the Defense Ministry.
Three are stable but one is in critical condition.
Approximately 500 Romanian soldiers are in a mission in Southern Afghanistan where they guard the airspace base of the coalition forces.
