Romanian projects have absorbed 84% of the total EU-supported SAPARD funds and are expected to absorb the total volume of 1,48 billion euro by October 2006, the Romanian Agency for Agricultural Payments and Rural Development said on Wednesday.
Only 234 million euro of the SAPARD funds are still available, it said.
3,190 SAPARD projects amounting to 983 million euro have already been approved and projects involving some 257 million have been submitted and are due to receive approval, according to the agency.
