Well-known political commentator and radio and TV host Emil Hurezeanu has been named editorial manager at Romanian newspaper Romania Libera, a RL press release says. Emil Hurezeanu is reputed among the Romanian public since the times when everybody was listening to Radio Free Europe, where he was head of the Romanian department, and since he ran the Romanian section fo the Deutsche Welle radio.
He will have to participate in major changes announced at the newspaper this year, aimed at bringing it in line with the wave of reform throughout the Romanian media lately, prompted by decreasing circulation numbers and the explosion of new media.
