France’s Council of ministers adopted the draft law regarding the endorsement of the Accession Treaty of Romania and Bulgaria’s accession to the EU, a press release of the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry shows. The endorsement procedures entail the debate of the draft law by the two houses of the Parliament, the National Assembly and the Senate.

The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed content to the French authorities for the support showed throughout the long integration process. The State secretary with the Integration Ministry Leonard Orban said on Monday that most of the eight remaining EU member states were to ratify the treaty by the European Commission’s report this autumn.

However, Germany and Finland announced they would wait the October report before ratifying the Treaty.
