The Bucharest Tribunal accepted on Wednesday to lift the levy placed on most of Rompetrol Rafinare assets but decided to maintain it on the 5.4 billion shares of the company. The levy has been placed on Rompetrol Rafinare in early March to prevent the transfer abroad of shares belonging to Rompetrol head Dinu Patriciu and two American partners, all investigated under various criminal charges.

The Bucharest Tribunal is due to decided on Thursday on a prosecutors’ request to arrest Patriciu’s former American partners Philip Stephenson and Colin Hart, accused along the Rompetrol boss of belonging to acriminaql organization, embezzlement, stock exchange manipulation and other charges.
