Three Romanians from the crew of the Greek cargo ship Alexandros T have gone missing and one was saved after the vessel sank off South African coast. Six of the 33 crew members were saved but authorities said chances to find other survivors grew dim after more than 24 hours in cold water.

The Alexandros T, a deadweight bulk carrier, was on the way to east Asia from Brazil with a cargo of iron when it broke up and begun sinking fast. The crew was made up of four Greeks, four Romanians, a Ukrainian and 24 Filipinos.
