The Romanian government approved on Wednesday the state budget’s rectification that supplemented expenses with 1 bln Euros in order to provide more money for infrastructure in Transportation and Education fields. This move led to the hike of the inflation rate from 0.5 to 0.9% of the GDP.

The PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu underlined that the main purpose of the budget’s rectification is the rapid launch of investment projects for the top priority fields. The budget of the Education ministry is to be supplemented with 100 mln Euros, to be invested for infrastructure projects, and the purchase of school buses.

The Transportation ministry is to receive the biggest amount of money, approximately 167 mln Euros.

Additional money were granted to the Ministries of European Integration, Defense, Interior , Labor, Environment, Justice, and Economy.
