The Supreme Defense Council of Romania – CSAT will hold a meeting on Monday, April 17 to discuss the national security strategy of the country as well as the 2005 activity reports of the CSAT and the Defense Ministry, according to a Presidency press release.

The meeting is due to host a "general discussion on the proposals, observations and suggestions related to the draft laws on the intelligence, counter-intelligence and security activities, the organization and operation of the Romanian Intelligence Service and of the Foreign Intelligence Service, as well as the professional and career status of intelligence officers".

It will also bring to table a series of actions of the Finance Ministry in the fight against corruption, fraud and money laundering.
