The price of natural gas will rise 3.6 per cent staring April 1, according to a press release issued by the National Reglamentation of Natural Gas.
Following this step within a larger harmonization process, the domestic consumers will pay 830.68 RON/1000 cm if subscribed to Distrigaz Sud and 830.24 RON if subscribed to Distrigaz Nord.
The main reason for this raise is the gas barrel price that has increased within the last 6-9 months. In order to avoid any additional pressure, the Government suggested that in the second quarter of 2006 the price remain the same as in quarter 4 in 2005, which was 110 USD/1000 cm.
The last price increase occurred with 17 per cent in January.
