The Romanian Government has decided to initiate procedures to drop the industrial park status for the "Snagov tourism park" near Bucharest – the official name of the hugely advertised Dracula Park.

The move follows checks by a government authority into the tourism project pushed by the previous PSD government.

The checks took place at the request of PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu and led to the discovery of a series of irregularities and non-effective judicial documents, which breach the existing Romanian legislation.

And they showed the firm that was granted the rights to manage the park was not capable of covering its contractual duties.
