Rompetrol Rafinare transactions returned to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Monday after they were suspended on Friday due to a hearing – postponed eventually - on Rompetrol head Dinu Patriciu.

Rompetrol Rafinare stock stood at a low level on opening however, continuing a trend set last week when they fell considerably due to a double halt in transactions, decided as prosecutors intensified their requests for Dinu Patriciu’s arrest for Stock Exchange irregularities and other charges.

The stocks were initially suspended on Wednesday. When they returned to the floor the next day, they lost 7.5%.
