The Romanian Authority for State Assets Recovery (AVAS) has blocked the accounts of 1,195 companies with accumulated debts to the state of 11 million RON and 19,5 million USD.

The list of companies includes Contrasimex B Ploiesti, Comcereal Dolj, Progresul Ploiesti, Transporturi Rutiere Onesti, ACR Sucursala Gorj, CMC International Impex, C.B. Investitii Bucharest, Asociatia Sportiva Politehnica Timisoara, Bio Medical Group Bucharest, Bidepa Security Bucharest, Federal Coop Brasov and Petrom Sucursala Braila.

AVAS head Razvan Orasanu has warned indebted companies the Authority would use any means available including the sale of their assets if they fail to pay their dues.
