The insurance company Interamerican Romania reported a 18 per cent increase in 2005 in the number of life insurances compared to the previous year, boasting revenues of 22.34 mln RON coming from the life insurance segment and 22.42 mln RON from the general insurance segment, writes an Interamerican press release on Tuesday.

Interamerican launched three new investment funds on Tuesday, RONSAFE, RONMEDIUM si RONPLUS, RON based, broadening the customers’ options to invest in the insurance "Your investment", a program launched in September 2004 in Euros.

In June 2005, the company invested more than 12 mln Euros to open a hospital at European standards "Euroclinic" and to launch the first integrated health care system, Medosystem, according to Timo Van Voorden, manager of Interamerican Romania

Interamerican is a member of the European concern Eureko, based in Utrecht-Holland that spreads in more than 10 European countries. With a turnover topping 6 bln Euros in 2005, Eurko is one of the biggest financial groups on the European insurance market.
