Romanian businessman Marian Iancu was facing High Court prosecutors on Monday in a case in which he is charged with producing a 270 mln RON prejudice at the Onesti-based refinery Rafo. He is investigated in the same organized crime case as another Romanian businessman, Ovidiu Tender, arrested preventively on Friday.

Alexandru Marian Iancu is manager at the VGB Impex company and owns the Poli Timisoara football club.

Official charges against him include money laundering, participation to an organized crime group and complicity to fraud in his VGB Impex activities related to SC RAFO Onesti and SC Carom SA.
