Arena City Center is to build a new shopping center worth 20 bln euros in the Romanian city of Bacau, providing spaces for 150 stores, with a total surface of 30,000 sqm. The works will start in March this year and will be concluded before the third trimester of 2007, when the mall is to be inaugurated, writes a Eurisko press release.

The building will be based in the busiest residential area that concentrates 30 per cent of the local population.

The current offer does not meet the demand of the retailers, says Florina Cojocari, Eurisko senior broker.

The architecture will please the eye and the practical conditions. The mall will provide 700 cars parking lot, and will include three movie theaters, restaurants and fast-food units, playgrounds, and beauty saloons.

The rent ranges from 20 – 100 euro/sqm/month, without VAT.

The project is the first one in Arena City Center’s portfolio; however, the company’s chairman is an experienced member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
