Avia Romania Insurance posted a 113 per cent rise for 2005, whereas the Group recorded a 10 per cent rise globally, from £ 22.3 billion in 2004 to £ 24,6 billion in 2005, representing new business sells.

The company which is Britain's biggest insurer launched on the Romanian market in October 2000, and since then it has managed insurances for more than 300 thousand customers.

The price of the Supreme programme was up 19.4 percent in Euros, based on a good performance of the global stocks. In Romania, there was an increase of share prices for Practic Plus programme with a rated capacity of 17 per cent.

At the end of 2005, Aviva Romania’s assets were worth almost £199 million, recording a rise of 81.76 per cent compared to 2004.

The volume of underwritten premium rose 44.43 per cent in 2005 compared to 2004.

Last year sales in bankassurance rose to 22 per cent up to £6.2 billion, compared to 5 billion in 2004.
