The Bucharest public transport services will soon return to routes around the Romanian capital, according to a governmental ordinance issued Monday and due to come into force with its publication in the official gazette.

The services have been withdrawn from the Ilfov district around Bucharest in July 2005 following a decision by the Bucharest City Council that these routes break the laws on road transportation.

The lines have been serving towns and villages of growing economic importance such as Otopeni, Mogosoaia, Voluntari and Pantelimon, where real estate operations have been booming and many companies established their headquarters.
