Romanian railway employees organize a strike on Friday for 6 hours. Trains will not function stating 7 am and 1 pm. CFR union president, Gheorghe Popa declared that the protest is not intended to demand higher salaries. He declared that the Executive refused to give them the allocated money for investments for 2008.

Gheorghe Popa declared that at this time, there is no budget for revenues or spending approved for CFR for 2008. He added that on Tuesday, they will meet other union leaders across the country but there are 99% chances that the strike will be organized on Friday. Some 7,000 people will stop working.
