The first Henri Coanda Expres train, linking Bucharest North train station with the International Henri Coanda Airport, started functioning at 5:15 am on Wednesday. 18 trains run daily on the route, starting Wednesday from 5:15 am to 23:23 pm.
The train's route covers: Bucharest North train station - Triaj - Chitila - Mogosoaia - Balotesti where passengers continue their trip with buses to the airport. The price of the ticket is 6 lei and covers the cost of the bus as well. Tickets can be purchased from both train stations, ticket agencies and the ticket stand open in the airport.
Romania's Transports ministry officials declared that some 4,000 people will use the new route daily.
