The inter-miniterial committee met to analyze the program meant to get rid of mosquitoes in Bucharest urged local authorities to monitor the South area, where mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus might enter our country from Bulgaria, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.

Bucharest mayor Sorin Oprescu urged the committee to analyze the current program meant to get rid of mosquitoes in Bucharest. The committee, at its turn local authorities will monitor the South area where mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus might come in.

As of July, authorities disposed complementary measures regarding treatments against mosquitoes. Treatments are applied between 7 PM and 24PM daily.
