Romanian brand car Dacia sold globally 230,473 cars in 2007, a 17.4% increase year on year, a press release of the company announced on Friday. On the Romanian market, the constructor sold 102,062 cars out of which 6,850 were utility ones.
In the four years since its launch, the Dacia Logan model sold in 573,203 units.
Dacia Renault Nissan manager Jacques Daniel says that Dacia exports exceeded the total number of sales in Romania last year, amounting to 128,411 units - a 44.3% increase as compared to 2006. Most preferred destination was Western Europe, with 53% of total exports.
For 2008, Dacia producer prepares to launch two new models. Company officials expect a consistent further raise of sales.
