The Economy Ministry opened for debate the Emergency Ordinance draft for the new car registration tax, Money Channel informed on Wednesday. According to the new draft, the tax for an Euro 4 car with a 1,600 cubic centimeters engine, 2 to 3 years old, the tax will be 632 euro. Under the same conditions, but for a Euro 3 standard, the tax will be 1,608 euro. The new tax will come into force at the beginning of July.

The taxes:

- Euro 4, lower than 1,600 cubic centimeters (ccm): 465 euro for one onth-old cars and 24 euro for cars over 15 years.

- Euro 4, over 1,601 ccm - from 776 euro (one-month old cars) to 40 euro for cars over 15 years.

- Euro 4 around 2,500 ccm - from 1,697 euro (one-month old cars) to 85 euro for cars over 15 years.

- Euro 4 around 3,000 ccm - from 2,422 euro (one-month old cars) to 127 euro for cars over 15 years.

- Euro 4 over 3,000 ccm - from 2,784 euro (one-month old cars) to 142 euro for cars over 15 years.

- Euro 3 with less than 1,600 ccm - from 1,520 euro (one-month old cars) to 80 euro for cars over 15 years.

- Euro 2 with less than 1,600 ccm - a maximum of 2,006 euro for cars 5 to 6 years old and 246.4 euro for cars 14-15 years old.

- Euro 2 between 1,601 ccm and 2,000 ccm - up to 3,672 euro for cars 5-6 years old and 462 for cars 14-15 years old.

- Euro 2 between 2,001 and 2,500 ccm, 5-6 years old - 6,555 euro; 14-15 years old - 805 euro.

- Euro 2 between 2,501 and 3,000 ccm - 9,576 euro for 5-6 year old cars and 1,176 euro for 14-15 year old cars.

- Euro 2 over 3,000 ccm - 10,602 euro for 5-6 year old cars and 1,302 euro for 14-15 year old cars.
