The net average salary in Romania reached 1266 Ron in December 2007, a 12.9% increase as compared to the previous month, the National Statistics Institute data show. The biggest salary growth were registered in the radio, television and communications industry while the highest decreases were reported in health care and social assistance services.
According to the published data, the net average gain for December was 1.730 Romanian Ron, a 13.7% increase as compared to the previous month. The net average salary grew by 145 Romanian Ron as compared to November 2007.
These salary increases were due to the occasional benefits employees receive for holidays or due to salary negotiations and increased production.
