The personal computers market in Romania saw a strong growth in the last quarter of 2007, on both number of units and value. The number of units sold recorded a 70% growth and the market value doubled, compared to Q4 2006. The most important growth came in the notebooks area, where the number of sold units increased 160%, compared to Q4 2006 and 133%, compared to Q3 2007.

Some 930,000 computers were sold in 2007, 66% desktop systems, 33% notebooks and 1% servers. In the last quarter of the year, dealers sold 370,000 units, with the notebooks reaching 40% of the sales, above any previous estimations.
