Authority for States Assests Recovery president Teodor Atanasiu said in Alba Iulia, central Romania on Sunday that the privatization process at the Automobile Craiova factory taken over by Ford was at its final stages. He announced that on March 21 Ford might enter as majority holder of the Romanian company Automobile Craiova.

He added, according to Romanian public radio, that Ford attracts other important foreign companies in the industry which want to open branches in our country as two major companies he would not name already showed interest in opening shop in Romania.

However, he refused to name the two companies but argued that by this summer they will introduce themselves on the market. Atanasiu added he is confident that the automobile market will expand a lot in the upcoming years.

Romanian President Traian Basescy signed on Sunday a decree approving the privatization law of Automobile Craiova, a Presidency press release informs.
