The employees at the Renault-owned Dacia Pitesti will go on strike on March 24, after the last round of negotiations failed on Thursday, labor union vice leader Ion Iordache announced, quoted by Mediafax. Contacted by HotNews.ro, Dacia officials said that negotiations are not over yet.

According to Mediafax, the employers did not put forward any new salary increase offering, after the 118 RON salary growth suggested two days ago, instead of the 550 RON demanded by workers.

Iordache says that 80% of the employees signed for opening the general strike on Monday. Dacia currently employs 13,000 people.
