Ford Kuga, the latest SUV crossover made by the US-based company, will be launched this fall on the Romanian market, with a 2 liter / 136 horse-power diesel engine, company officials announced. The prices for Romania were not disclosed yet, but the same car costs in Germany over 26,500 euro.

In Spain, the cars costs between 25,500 and 31,200 euro, depending on the options. The class C model Kuga is made in Germany, at Saar Louis, sharing the same platform with C-Max and Focus. The target is to sell 45,000 units in 2008 and 65,000 in 2009.

Kuga is a direct competitor to Toyota RAV4, Opel Antara, Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Qashqai and Kia Sportage.
