The Romania-produced Dacia Sandero will be marketed with an 18 months / 100,000 kilometers warranty in Romania, while in other states the term expands to 3 years, within the same 100,000 km limit. The reason to offer a shorter term in Romania is cost-related, Mediafax informs.

"Dacia Sandero will have the same warranty conditions as Logan Sedan, for reasons referring to costs. On other markets, Sandero will be more expensive, and will consequently carry a longer warranty. For Romania, we decided to offer the client the chance to opt for an expanded warranty, in case they desire a three-years contract. The expansion costs some 200 euro", explained the Dacia Renault Commercial Manager, Jacques Daniel.

Dacia will officially launch its Sandero model in June, after its public appearance at the Geneva car show.

With 230,000 units sold in 2007, Dacia recorded a worldwide growth of 17.4%, compared to 2006. The company sold 102,062 units in Romania, with Logan Sedan as best-selling model.

The production capacity at Dacia is supposed to grow to 350,000 units in 2008 and 400,000 starting in 2009, due to the 300 million euro investments made by Renault.
