The national council of the Unimpresa, the association of Italian investors in Romania, has decided unanimously to nominate Stefano Albarosa as president of the organization. The final vote will be cast in a general assembly on May 6, according to an Unimpresa press release.

Albarosa is one of the best known Italian businessmen in Romania and runs the Cefin group operating in auto, real estate and logistics sectors.

The May 6 event will be attended by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, head of Confindustria and of Ferrari. Romania will be represented by PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu and his Economy and SME ministers.

Unimpresa Romania was established in July 2004 and became an employers' union in October 2004, uniting over 700 associates providing over 130,000 jobs in Romania.
