Orange Romania exceeded, at the end of the this year's first quarter, the 10 million clients threshold while revenues increased by 8.4% up to 307 million euro, according to official financial data offered by France Telecom. Present at CERF 2008, Orange Romania CEO Richard Moat told HotNews.ro that he believed Orange will host 10.7 million clients by the end of the year.
On March 31, 2008, Orange Romania had 10,009,975 customers, a 21% increase as compared to the same period last year. Its broadband customers increased by 144% as compared to the similar quarter last year totaling over 1.047 million users.
Orange officials explain this increase declaring that what made the difference was the diversified service offered for mobile internet connections and mobile data services.
