France Telecom through its Orange Romania branch will sell iPhone to Romanian customers by the end of the year, a press release of the French company announced. The French company signed an agreement with Apple to sell the phone in countries from Europe, Middle East and Africa. Orange Romania representatives confirmed the news for HotNews.ro.

Orange has an agreement with Apple to sell iPhone in: Austria, Belgium, Egypt, Jordan, Poland, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and some African markets.

iPhone was launched in the United States in June 2007. Last year it officially entered the British, German and French markets. Until now, Apple sold some 5.5 million phones.
