Romania's constructions sector registered its biggest annual growth in April, compared to the other European Union member states, the advance of the sector was 30% in the mentioned period, Eurostat data shows. At Union level, the constructions sector dropped by 0.3% in April while in the Euro zone it dropped by 2.4%.

According to Eurostat, ten member states registered growth and other three member states a decrease in the constructions sector. However, the report did not include all member states.

The most important increases were registered in Slovenia with 23.3%, Poland with 22.8% and Bulgaria with 21% while the greatest decreases registered in the Czech Republic with -3.5%, Germany with -2.3% and Spain with -21.8%.
