The three-door compact Alfa Romeo MiTo, recently launched in Eastern Europe, will be available in Romania starting in the first months of 2009. The car is currently available with three motorization versions, from 78 to 155 horse-power engines and prices starting at 16,000 euro.

The name comes from the names of cities where Fiat operates - Milano (where Alfa Romeo was founded in 1910, currently hosting the design centre) and Turin (It.: Torino), where the model is built.

MiTo is available with two gasoline engines, with 78 and 155 HP, respectively, and an 120 HP diesel engine.

The car is 4.06 meters long, competing directly with BMW series 1 and Audi A3.
