Kraft Foods Romania will shut down its chocolate factory in Brasov, Central Romania by the end of the next year and fire its 440 employees, Romanian business daily Ziarul Financiar reads. According to company officials, this decision was taken because the current location does not allow the factory to expand its production abilities.

Kraft Foods Romania Corporate Affairs Manager Doina Cavache declared that the decision was not taken at a local level and she assured that the business thrives in Romania. She added that company representatives will move the production units to other markets.

Romanian news television Antena 3 informs that Kraft Foods leaves Romania in favor of Bulgaria. Kraft Foods Romania is a branch of the American Kraft Foods, one of the biggest food and drinks companies in the world.
