Romania's commercial deficit decreased 51.2% in February, from 1.56 billion Euros in February 2008, to 764 million Euros this year, the National Statistics Institute informs. The decrease is due to a faster decrease of imports, compared to exports.

In February, exports decreased 27.7%, down to 2.07 billion Euros, while imports decreased 36%, to 2.83 billion Euros.

During the first two months of the year, the commercial deficit was 1.37 billion Euros.
