OTP Bank Romania registered, in the first quarter of the year, losses of almost 2.6 million euro, seven times more than the losses registered in the same period, last year, a quarterly report of the group reveals.

OTP Bank Romania revenues increased in the first quarter of the year by 48% compared to the similar period, last year but dropped by 12% compared to the previous quarter. Interest rate revenues increased to 3.85 billion forint from 1.66 billion forint in the similar period, last year.

Revenues from extra charges increased by 38.7% compared to the first quarter of 2008, but dropped by 76% compared to the last quarter, last year, to 476 billion forint.
