Renault will start production for the new Dacia Sandero hatchback model at a factory in Casablanca, Morocco where the group owns 80% of the shares. The car will be launched in the country on June 18, a press release of the company informs. In the last three years Logan was the best sold car in Morocco and Dacia the second in terms of market share with 16%.

Casablanca is the fifth factory where Renault produces Sandero after Curitiba in Brazil, Sofasa in Columbia, Pitesti in Romania and Rosslyn, South Africa.

Dacia is the second brand on the Moroccan car market after Renault while Logan was the best sold model with 14,500 cars last year and 48,000 cars sold since it was launched.
