Romania's National Central Bank injected on Friday, 5.9 billion lei in the banking system, at an equal interest rate with that practiced by the monetary policy, of 9.5% per year, Romanian news agency NewsIn informs. 17 banks obtained liquidies as part of this operation.

Previously this month, the central bank injected another 9.8 billion lei in the market, in three operations per month. On the monetary policy, interest rates for the overnight deposits are somewhere between 9.4 to 9.9% per year, a little over the monetary policy interest rate of 9.5%.

Romania's National Central Bank revealed on Friday an average level of the ROBID overnight deposits of 9.84% per year, and for the ROBOR overnight ones, a 10.34% interest rate per year.
