Romania's National Central Bank injected on Monday 2.54 billion lei in the banking system with an interest rate equal to the interest rate of the monetary policy, of 9% / year, Romanian news agency NewsIn informs. Nine banks were part of the operation.

Last week, BNR injected almost 8 billion lei in two similar operations. In June, the central bank injected another 15 billion lei in the market, in four distinct operations and in May introduced over 10 billion lei.

Romania's National Central Bank revealed on Monday an average overnight ROBID rate of 8.44% per year and for the ROBOR overnight rates, of 8.94%.
