Dacia sold 153,000 cars in the first six months, a 20% increase than in the first part of last year while 85% of production went to exports, according to company data. In Romania company sales decreased by half and most sold models were Logan and Sandero.

In the first quarter of 2009 Dacia sold 153,826 cars, a 20.3% increase compared to sales in January - July 2008, when only 127, 842 units were sold. In Romania, Dacia sold only 23,158 cars but the company is still leader on the internal market with a 30% market share.

In exports, Dacia sold 130, 668 a 60.4% increase compared to the first quarter 2008. With 95,667 registered units, Western Europe represents the number one destination for Dacia exports.
