Foreign direct investments in the first seven months of 2010 amounted to 1.90 billion euro, a 35.8% drop compared to 2.97 billion euro during the similar period in 2009, according to the National Central Bank data.

Of the total foreign direct investments, most represented participations to capital of 1.32 billion euro compared to 1.27 billion euro in the first seven months of 2009. Overall, in 2009 the value of FDI was 4.89 billion euro, half the sum registered in 2008.
