Romania's Economy and Trade Ministry has initiated a national level program named "Buy Romanian!" aimed at relaunching domestic production. In a short presentation of the program, it shows, among other, that several moves has already been made, including the reservation of two web domains. HotNews.ro checked the two domains and found that one of them, produs-romanesc.ro, was not reserved. HotNews.ro reserved it to prove the incapacity of the institution to coordinate its communication in line with its actions, but will cede the domain to the ministry for free.

The project is using European funds and is valued at 5.2 million lei. It will include discussion sessions, a web portal and a magazine.

The ministry claims the project is an important part of the national anti-crisis program. And it says that in order to stimulate domestic production it will apply measures such as "improving the legislative framework and implementing of a coherent public policy to relaunch domestic production".
